On July 4th 2011, CHU International Volunteer Group begins a training program in Nan Juang, Miaoli to prepare our volunteer trip to Padang, Indonesia. The first day of training, we have many interesting activities. One of them is the design of our program to Padang, Indonesia.
This activity was conducted by Mr. Aal, a project manager of Bumi Ceria, a Field Indonesian project supported by United Agency for International Development (USAID). The purpose of this activity is to plan the schedule of our program in Padang, from 18 to 30 July 2011.
First Mr. Aal drew a map of South East Asia, and he showed us about how to go to Padang from Taiwan. He can drew a very good picture and make us understand the easiest way to go to Padang. He also explained briefly about Padang Pariaman culture to us.
In Padang, our group will learn and assist Field Indonesian Foundation (FIF) Field Work in Padang and also to help to setup mobile APEC Digital Opportunity Center (ADOC) laptop in Padang. Because of we have several program in the same time, that’s makes our group will be divided in to two groups.
