The video “What’s wrong with our food
system?” is about a little boy Birke’s view. It’s really surprised me because
MINT group do the same thing last year. We all care about our agriculture. We notice
that we have to improve our farm so we do organic. It’s just a process that
changing our food system because the perennial crops is our best food system.
About the little boy said that conventional
farmers usually use chemical fertilizers but chemicals hurt our soil and water.
For example, our fruits and vegetables, we use pesticides and herbicides to
kill weeds and bugs. But, the rain will seep chemicals into our soil and water
system. If we eat the food from chemicals farm, it will hurt our health. Now,
many people want to change this situation to save our land and health. They use
organic farm instead. The organic don’t use any chemical fertilizers. Just like
Birke said we can make difference by making different choices by buying food
from local farmers. So, before you eat. Know your farmer. Know your food.
